Image One Aesthetics
I’m pleased to announce that this practitioner has switched to a legitimate hair removal device with published results and FDA clearance.
On 13 August 2002, I received the following note from Don O’Neal:
"Andrea, This E-mail is to inform you that Don O’Neal, Nola O’Neal, Image One Aesthetics, and Consulting Studios Inc.are no longer associated with the use or sales of the transdermal hair removal system referred to as the super phaser gold. If you would be so kind as to remove our names from your informational site as users and providers of the equipment and services we would greatly appreciate it. If you want to check out information to verify this you can go to our web sites www.imageoneweb.com to see our new information and in trying to find www.consultingstudio.com you will see that it has been removed altogether. If you have any comments or concerns in this matter please contact me personally. Your expedient action to this is appreciated.
The Pulsed Light system we are using is made by Palomar called the EsteLux. If you need any futher information please contact us again."
I have left up the original information below for any consumers seeking refunds for treatment with the Super-Phaser Gold device. If you have purchased a SuperPhaser Gold or treatments with one, please contact me, and I’ll send information on how to sue in small claims court.
Image One Aesthetics is one of several Nebraska-based businesses which sell "transdermal hair removal," microdermabrasion, follicular hair transplants, beauty products, and "nonsurgical breast enhancement." A business with the same address as Image One is listed as a distributor of a "transcutaneous hair removal" system manufactured by International Hair Removal Systems (now called Rejuvenu). This device is marketed under the name Super-Phaser Gold.
Image One Aesthetics (a.k.a. Consulting Studio) were once distributors for the International Hair Removal System (IHRS) "transcutaneous electrolysis" device called SuperPhaser Gold, which should be avoided.
On 2 April 2001, FDA told Rejuvenu they were in violation of federal law in making claims of painless and permanent hair removal using transcutaneous patches. This was their second such warning. Reputable companies are usually not associated with these products.

False and misleading claims
"Transdermal Hair removal is a modern medical breakthrough in permanent hair removal, making traditional electrolysis outdated and obsolete. It is the fastest, safest, most comfortable method of permanent hair removal available today. "
"Transdermal Hair Removal was developed, and patented in 1990, beginning a new era in permanent hair removal. Now it is possible to remove your unwanted hair with no side effects, and no pain, but still achieve permanent results."
"Technology has finally reached a point where it is no longer necessary to insert a needle into your skin to achieve permanent hair removal. A surface electrode placed on your skin’s surface safely, effectively , and comfortably removes the hair from any part of your body."
Comment: On July 20, 1999, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that there has been no clearance for these devices to make claims of permanent and/or painless hair removal. There is no published clinical data showing these devices can cause permanent hair removal or reduction.
