This paper deals mainly with histologic findings
and clinical aspects of epilation using insulated needles. Patients
were checked for hair regrowth after "thermolysis" epilation--a
cycle of three to four treatments at roughly 3-month intervals,
within an observation period of 2 1/2 years. The results for 39
patients, compiled 6 months to 1 year after the final epilations,
showed almost no or extremely reduced hair regrowth with almost
no scarring.
