Skin Sense/Kathy Orender (WARNING!)

Skin Sense Hair Removal Salon

Kathy Orender is a practitioner of "transcutaneous" hair removal in Wichita, Kansas. She is also been listed as a distributor of the "transcutaneous electrolysis" device made by Rejuvenu (formerly known as International Hair Removal Systems).

Skin Sense should be avoided for hair removal. They sell an unproven "transcutaneous" method.

Treatment with the Rejuvenu or IHRS devices such as Super-Phaser Gold should be avoided by all consumers. There is no published data showing it can remove hair permanently.

Claiming these devices are permanent is a violation of federal regulations. Reputable people usually do not associate themselves with these devices.

2002 update: I am pleased to announce I have helped a consumer get $2700 back from one of these quacks. If you have been ripped off by Skin Sense, I will be happy to assist you in getting your money back.

Kathy Orender is the ringleader, and the other women are her accomplices. She probably sold the device to them as franchises with promises of lots of money and permanent hair removal for their consumers.

Quack claims

The Wichita Hi-Liter shopping circular had this report:

Skin Sense: New Patch Means Fewer Trips For Permanent Hair Removal

Creating less need for a business is not necessarily a sound goal for a business owner, but that is exactly what Kathy Orender has done with her salon, Skin Sense. Transdermolysis
