NOTE: NO affiliation with Berkowits School of Electrolysis in
New York
Despite claims on these websites, there is NO affiliation between
these two sites and the reputable US-based  Berkowits
School of Electrolysis founded in 1978 by Barry Herman.
This company used to own berkowits.com,
but that site is no longer owned by them. The new
owner is not involved in hair removal.
Due to false and misleading information presented by the India-based
company which owns berkowits.net, Hairfacts contained some erroneous
information suggesting a connection. Hairfacts regrets this error.
This India-based company and their
electric tweezer "Microlysis" device should be avoided
by all consumers.

In 2002, the berkowits.com
site originating in India was taken down, but the berkowits.net
site in India remains active. Dr. Jaishree sells an electric tweezer,
and she calls this device the "Latest Needleless Microlysis
American Permanent Hair Removal System."
As you can see in this profile,
there is a clear claim that Dr. Jaishree's electric tweezer device
is allegedly affiliated with the US school:
"Berkowits, founded by Dr.Jaishree in india, is affiliated
to Berkowits USA... Being the founder of berkowits American
School of Electrolysis and Berkowits Cosmetic and skin Clinic,
she knows her business in great depth.
I received a letter from the US Berkowits
School's Director, Barry Herman, on 15 August 2002. he states:
"If my school name is being used
by someone else it is without my knowledge or consent... I have
always only taught needle type hair removal."
Again, the India-based company calling itself "Berkowits"
has no connection whatsoever with the US-based Berkowits School.
Hairfacts regrets any errors and confusion caused by Dr. Jaishree's
false and misleading Indian website promoting electric tweezers.
