Trichiasis

Trichiasis is a medical term for ingrown hair in the eyelashes. This can be caused by infection, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, and trauma such as burns or eyelid injury.

Standard treatment involves destruction of the affected eyelashes with electrology, specialized laser, or surgery.
