Plucking
Plucking is a type of epilation where hairs are pulled out by the hair root. When done with a pair of tweezers, this is called tweezing. Some people pluck hairs with their fingers, usually grasping them between their thumb and index finger.
Obsessive plucking of hair is called trichotillomania.
